Matthew Flisfeder is a Ph.D. Candidate, ABD, and a SSHRC Doctoral Fellow.
He is a cultural theorist, specializing in film theory, political philosophy, psychoanalysis, subjectivity and ideology critique.
He is currently working on his dissertation, which examines the relevance of the political philosopher and psychoanalyst, Slavoj Zizek, for contemporary film theory.
His other interests include the political and dialectical criticism of culture, particularly through the influences of Zizek and Fredric Jameson.
